With an abundance of expertise in accounting and a reputation for excelling in challenging projects that require the highest level of accuracy, Kate Horan was recently promoted to Associate Director of Accounting at Modern Rail Capital.
“Reliable and consistent are what come to mind when I think of Kate,” MRC President Kevin Cook said. “Her ability to create seamless and transparent processes is essential to strengthening our responsive customer service as we continue growing.”
Horan has over a decade of experience in the rail industry. Before her promotion, she was Manager of Accounting at MRC, joining the company in 2020. In that position, she ensured the timeliness of financial reports with the highest attention to detail.

Horan is a distance runner, including running the steeplechase in college. She is a graduate of Marquette University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on accounting.
